Who We Are

Founder and President - Elizabeth Tran

Hi, I’m Elizabeth Tran, President of Teens Go Green Global. Thank you for visiting our website! Our goal is for teens to be involved in the community and spread the message of being eco-friendly in every possible way in our daily lives!

Going green is something I was always involved with as a young kid. I love the idea "One man's trash is another man's treasure!" so I always make sure I recycle everything I can. There is so much trash in our world today, but if you think about it, more than half of it could be gone if everybody recycled or collected compost. The key is to spread the word and involve everybody we know in the green movement. Our motto is based one of John Denver's quotes, "No one person has to do it all but if each one of us follow our heart and our own inclinations we will find the small things that we can do to create a sustainable future and a healthy environment."

Through public speaking and going out to benefit other non profit organizations, I believe teens can make a difference to the world. Teens are able to make the connections with other organizations now so in the future this positive impact can be stronger and spread wider. Teens are the future, and teens have the power to choose if they want to make a change. If we start now, we can encourage others to do the same!

Currently I am Miss Miami-Dade County USA, and I'm excited to use this opportunity to push my platform and spread my message in going green! Please check the Events and Activities for all my latest updates! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to write something in the Contact Us. I hope you enjoy the website!

Let me know if you want to work with me with any volunteer events! I would love to help out: [email protected]

Co-Founder and Vice President - Alexander Tran

Welcome to our site! Congratulations on taking your first step to be involved in the community and to help to raise awareness to protect our environment which is our future. From the city beautiful Orlando in sunny Florida, I am Alexander Tran, Vice President and Co-founder of Teens Go Green Global.

Together we are dedicated to spread the "go green" message to save our tropical rain forest, our natural habitat, our ecosystem and last but not the least our money. Green living is just a habit and a living style that we can and should all do! Please help spread the message and check out our current events.

As an active swimmer, I noticed that there are many recyclable plastic bottles and cans that were being trashed during sports events. Our group is committed to set up recycle bins and collect those recyclables in as many events possible. We collect thousands of water and Gatorade bottles every time!

Currently I am a senior at the University of Florida in the Department of Soil and Water Science. My work in the lab and research has continuously empowered me to live a more sustainable lifestyle. I'm passionate about nature, and studied at Earth University's summer program in Costa Rica.

Thank you for visiting our site and I hope that you would start to go green now!

Community Board Leader - Bianca Dsilva

Hi! I'm Bianca DSilva, Community Board Leader of Teens Go Green. As the president and founder of my school's UNICEF club, I constantly witness the desire that many teens have to change the world and make a difference. I believe everyone has what it takes to fulfill a "Go Green" lifestyle, but all we need to do is give a little motivation and guidance. Teenagers in our society can make a memorable contribution to our planet through simple activities to be eco-friendly. Whether its through recycling used paper for school or helping to plant trees, everything counts, no matter how minimal it may seem.

Through the participation of service projects, I have been able to experience what its like to Go Green within our community throughout Central Florida. As board leader, I established the connection between Teens Go Green with Clean the World where we recycled hotel soap and I am an Angel at Give Kids the World. I volunteered, modeled, and worked in the HallowGreen Fashion Show and took part in the creation of Recycled Paper Cranes for victims of the 2011 tsunami in Japan.

I look forward to being a part of the Teens Go Green committee and I anticipate working on more projects to spread the message to Go Green!

Youth Leader - Brandon Tran

Hi, I'm Brandon Tran! I've been a part of Teens Go Green since the start with my older siblings putting it together, but I'm excited to be able to take action now and lead my own peers.

I host events with Orange County Environmental Protection Division through storm drain labeling and take part in community beautification projects. I also help create games and table at different environmental events with Teens Go Green.

Hi. My name is Christine Chan.  I am the Creative Director at Teens Go Green.  I am an officer in the International Baccalaureate Student Organization at Cypress Creek High School, and I am interested in doing art and also wanted to help this world while doing things that I am passionate about.  I am happy that I am able to volunteer in this organization, I‘ve learned so much during the volunteering events and also have a chance to help this world.

I enjoy tabling at different events such as Central Florida Earth Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Central Florida Vegetarian Festival for Teens Go Green. I teach kids that attend how to make origami with old magazines and play eco-friendly games!

Chairman of Events - Kelvin Chan

Hi, I'm Liang Chung Chan or you can call me Kelvin. I am a student in IB program in Cypress Creek High School. I like playing sports, especially basketball. I am also the Vice President of our school’s badminton club. As a chairman of the events in Teens Go Green Global, I help out with all the events about Teens Go Green Global.

Through all the volunteering events, I learn the importance of going green and how much we need to share the information to others. Having a “Green” lifestyle is not difficult; just need to aware of everything around us. I’m looking forward to work with Teens Go Green and spread out the idea of going green.

Director of Public Relations - Michelle He

Hi, my name is Michelle He and I am the Director of Public Relations! I'm look. I'm looking forward to bringing Teens Go Green to my school and my community. I remember learning about environment and how I could play my part in conservation in elementary school.  In the fifth grade, I researched alternatives to plastic bags and presented biodegradable bags made of corn and canvas bags.  When I learned how much energy and pollution was created in the process of manufacturing bags, it really opened my eyes about what it takes to make everything else we take for granted.  This knowledge carried on with me throughout middle school, where I gave a speech on the importance of recycling and helping the environment which placed 2nd at Regionals.  Because of this, I realize how important it is to educate youth to help them mold a "green" lifestyle.  With Teens Go Green we can come together and spread the word. Thanks for your interest!

Director of Finance - Michael He

Hi, my name is Michael He, and I am the Director of Finance. I am 16 years old, and I am an undergraduate student at UCLA. I enjoy running cross country and playing tennis, and I am an ardent advocate for the environment. I help plan fund-raising events and I will use my passion with the nature to fully utilize recycled items to design games and prizes for the events. I am also determined to inspire kids to use their imagination to enjoy fun times with nature
