11-23-17 Grand Canyon in CATA

Posted by Teens Go Green on December 2, 2017 at 10:15 AM

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I was able to camp out at the Grand Canyon, and what an experience it was! I visited as a child, but didn't appreciate the beauty of it until then. National Parks of mountains and canyons are not something in Florida, but I love the shuttle stops of scenic views we were able to visit. The geology side of me was so excited to see the changes of rocks throughout the area. It was absolutely magnificent. I also loved their sustainable projects, with water filling stations, recycling and compost, and solar garbage compactors!

I never hiked trails before, so I wasn't exactly sure what to wear. But I made a great decision in wearing my CATA affiliate Earth Creations top throughout that day. It also looked great in pictures with the red and brown hues of the rocks!
