This past week I have attended the Central Florida Veg Fest in Orlando and the SEED Food and Wine Festival in Miami. Now I have to be honest, I was nervous because I'm not vegan. Growing up, I was raised to have meat everyday. As I've been preparing for Miss Florida USA, I've been trying to eat healthier. For those that are considering going vegetarian or vegan but worry, I suggest you first start by cutting beef. It's the #1 emitter of carbon and more harmful than car pollutants. Attending both these festivals, I've seen the awesome options and alternatives available by vegan vendors and companies. So technically, it was a cheat day with almond milk ice cream and 77% cacao chocolate, but it was so worth it!
Throughout both events I wore my Consumers Against Toxic Apparel affiliate Silver Needle & Thread orange and white chevron jumsuit. It's super cute, comfortable, and has pockets to hold my items. It's made of 100% cerified organic cotton and was perfect for the plant based events I was attending.
At the Central Florida Veg Fest, I had to change into recycled trash fashions, so the jumpsuit was easy to change out of and didn't affect my hair and makeup at the event.
With the SEED Food & Wine Festival, we walked around the whole area and get great samples and coupons of vegan food. Many things were held in my hand so I have to put my necessities in my pocket. This outfit was perfect for both events, and they both happened to be vegan.
